Cumberland State Forest is just across the river, providing you with thousands of acres of lush forests, towering hardwoods, and peacefulness. There's plenty of fishing to be had in the river - catfish, bream, and smallmouth bass all await you. Upland game, such as deer and turkey, can also be found throughout the area. You can wade in the river at low water, or bring along a kayak or canoe for a more adventurous experience. There's a path that takes you right to the river's edge from the parking spot, and you can camp either by the river or right where you park - it's completely up to you to make the most of your stay!
