BRSR Hunting and Fishing Permit - Valid 9/1/2026 - 8/31/2027

Follow State and Local Regs: All fishing permit holders on the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation must strictly observe all Federal, State and Country Laws and Regulations. Where Reservation and or Outdoor Access rules are more strict than government statute or regulations, Reservation and Outdoor Access rules prevail and supersede them. Failure to comply will result in the loss of fishing privileges on the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation {BRSR) and forfeiture of ALL permit fees. The Blue Ridge Mountains Council reserves the right to close fishing on any portion of the reservation at any time. 1. Permitees must carry the BRMC permit on their person at all times while hunting. 2. Permitees must possess valid fishing license(s) for the season and species they are targeting. 3. Permitees must clearly display their parking permit prominently on dashboard of parked vehicle while fishing. 4. A valid permit acknowledges the permitee's agreement to all regulations and their release of liability for the BRMC, Scouting America, and Outdoor Access Inc. 5. No fires are permitted. 6. Camp only in areas designated by BRSR Staff. No camping within 500 feet of any permanent building or structures on the reservation. Buildings may only be occupied with rental agreements signed by BSA council office personnel. Cabin rentals and camping info are available by contacting the council service center at 540-265-0656. 7. Certain areas of the Scout Reservation may be Closed to Fishing when Scout Groups as well as other groups are present and using the Reservation. You will be notified by Email and Text advising you of such closed or restricted areas in those cases. 8. All those using watercraft of any type must wear a USCG approved PFD. No gas motors allowed on water craft. Blue Ridge Scout Council Specific Policies: 1. Possession of alcohol or illegal drugs on the reservation is strictly prohibited. Being under the influence of, consumption of or use of ANY mind-altering substance is prohibited while fishing. This includes prescription drugs. 2. No ATV's or off-road vehicles are permitted. Road Vehicles are permitted only on designated dirt/gravel trails marked on the digital listing map. NO Off-Road driving on camp property is permitted. Violators will be asked to leave the property immediately without any refund. 3. In addition to creating a user Account on OutdoorAccess.com and accepting terms, all licensees and permitees will additionally be required to sign the Blue Ridge Council indemnity agreement before a license or permit will issued and the property accessed. 4. Permitees must stay within the Listing boundaries designated on the digital listing map. 5. Conduct a map study prior to your reservation. For safety, all on your reservation/lease must familiarize themselves with the listing and the surrounding area. 6. Do not block roads or trails when parking. 7. Clean up after yourself and leave only your footprints. 8. Wireless phone service is almost non existent on the reservation. Plan ahead. Download local map versions on your phone for navigation prior to leaving a good service area. 9. Do NOT enter any buildings or structures on camp property without prior written approval. 10. No Dogs are allowed on the reservation. Any violation of these rules or regulations may result in immediate and permanent removal from the property, forfeiture of all license fees, and disqualification from future sportsman programs, at the sole discretion of BRMC staff. BRMC reserves the right to update or modify fishing permit regulations at any time.
